A Brief Course Description
Two-day workshop for managers, maintenance managers and other appropriate personnel of transit systems that provide maintenance for the transit fleet in-house.
This workshop includes:
Organizing the flow of maintenance work around the transit schedule
Setting work priorities and assignment for supervisors and technicians
Inventory and Purchasing control
Managing relationships with vendors, especially warranty administration
Understanding certification requirements for maintenance personnel as well as the certification programs that are available
The workshop includes open discussion among the participants. This will enable them to share ideas and experiences as well as to develop cooperative networking strategies.
This workshop is intended for experienced maintenance managers and supervisors as well as those new to the trade or not familiar with maintenance supervision.
